Your cells understand Sanskrit language better than English!

Let me explain it to you and teach you how you can use it for your healing!

What is Sanskrit and why did I learn it (a bit lol)?

During my Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Nutrition course as well as my Ayurvedic Practitioner one I was taught some Sanskrit which is one of the world’s oldest languages dating back thousands of years.

It was part of the courses because it is the original language of Ayurveda Yoga and many of India’s spiritual texts. If you know some Sanskrit it is easier to understand the actual Ayurvedic teachings in their authentic form not only through English translations.

Sanskrit is FASCINATING! Prove me wrong.

What I find the most fascinating though is that unlike most modern languages Sanskrit is considered a vibrational language! Its sounds are designed to create specific effects in the mind and body.

Each word matches the essence of what it describes making it a unique bridge between meaning and energy.

Let’s use the example of the word “water”.

Just this word does not tell us anything about the qualities of water. Saying “water” will bring the concept to your mind, but it carries no intrinsic vibrational relationship to water itself. Sanskrit bypasses that limitation by embedding the qualities into the sound!

In Sanskrit, one of the words for water is "jala", meaning “that which is fluid, life-giving, and pure.”

Another beautiful example is the word “agni” which in Sanskrit means fire but also refers to the digestive fire in Ayurveda. The very sound carries a sense of warmth transformation and energy which you can almost feel as you say it 😍

Your body speaks VIBRATIONS, not English!

Cells are surrounded by a delicate membrane filled with protein receptors. These receptors are not only chemical sensors, they also respond to mechanical and vibrational signals.

In other words, your cells can “hear” vibration!

When you chant a Sanskrit mantra or sloka, your voice produces a specific pattern of vibration that travels through your body’s tissues.

These vibrations can:

  • Harmonize your breathing and heart rhythm

  • Calm the nervous system

  • Enhance the body’s natural repair processes

  • Shift your brainwave state toward relaxation or focused

    awareness

Ayurveda, “the knowledge of life,” has been passed down for thousands of years in slokas - short, rhythmic Sanskrit verses.

That's because rhythm and vibration make knowledge easier to remember!

How to incorporate Sanskrit into your daily life?

Sanskrit is the language of mantras and that's how I recommend using it :)

As I explained above, its sounds and meanings are deeply connected and sound activates specific points in the mouth and nervous system, making chanting a physical and energetic experience.

Sanskrit sounds also resonate with the body’s energy centers, helping balance and heal.

That’s why Sanskrit mantras are more than words - they are powerful vibrations that can transform your mind, body, and energy!

My favourite Sanskrit mantras:

There are plenty of Sanskrit mantras on YouTube, but I am the biggest fan of the chants (and the voice) of my dear Sanskrit teacher Gabriella - I am leaving you some links below - Happy listening!
